9 Golds and Best of Show Great Clients Open Doors

For a strictly design and creative services only studio in an American Advertising Federation competition (keyword being “advertising”) it is always an interesting event. Holding our own with limited categories that really pertain to our work is a testament to our incredible clients. Trust, creativity and open minds are the traits that allow us to do our best work.

And the awards go to:
The Tuska catalog was the first Gold winner of the entire event and we could not be happier for everyone at Tuska Studio and their efforts to promote the extraordinary work of the late John Tuska.

The Kentucky Historical Society winning a Gold was a great testament to a great team of people who knew exactly when to guide and when to step back. Thank you.

Next up was a Gold for the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau. We were honored to be chosen to develop such an important “gateway” into our beautiful city and with the importance of the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games heading to town we had to get it just right. We are glad that at least some judges from somewhere far away think we did. Only time will tell for the rest of the world.

Finally, the big word of the night was without a doubt, JAZZMAN! Out of various categories throughout the night, the Jazzman Gourmet Restaurant work collected a total of 6 individual Gold awards. Then, as the last big shiny thing remained on the table with Best of Show waiting to be announced, it was time to hear the name one more time. Jazzman taking the Best of Show was a very nice ending of the night. This was a client who just stepped back and let us drive the project 100%. We could count the revisions and change requests on one hand for a project the included everything from the name to architectural design consulting, to interior design, to the uniforms.

To all our clients who won we say congratulations and thank you. To the other great projects of 2008 we are equally proud and to those on the boards in 2009, we will do our very best.
